Shellfishing is another big part of the fishing industry here in Chatham and on all of Cape Cod. A primitive and arduous profession that has changed very little over the years. Winters clamming on the Monomoy Flats is not appealing to most but think of a summer where your office is the beach and your car pool commute is with friends on a boat.
